My 13 yr old Silky ruptured a disc. She was back to normal after Prednisone, accupunture, chiropractic and herbs. Now she has 2 hock joints that are enlarged and hot. Her temp has gone up from 102.5 to 103.3 while on cephalexin. We thought she may be septic, thus the urgent need for antibiotics. She has been on the BARF (biologically appropriate raw food) diet for 5 months. Another thought was gout, so I have changed her diet to mostly veggies, millet and a little turkey. Just started that this morning. If anyone has any suggestions of what this might be or what might help, I would be very greatful.
