My golden had blood work done about about 1 1/2 months ago to check his thyoid level it was a T4 and it came back negative the vet did a urine sample it came back negative also. He had been loosing hair for a few months. Now he has kidney failue and prostrate infection. The vet said if he could it his white cell count down they could neuter him to fix his prostrate problem. So we let the vet keep him for 4 days on a antibiotic IV and fluid IV. His kidney level was at 129 at the start and in four days it went down to 115. The vet said there was nothing else they could do. He had quit eating and was not responding enough to the medicine. I felt they could have done more earlier to prevent this from getting to the point of his kidney's failing. Is there something I can try?
