Sorry to hear your dog has DM. My father-in-law's German Shepherd was diognosed with it last summer. She could barely walk and had very little use of her hind legs until we found a website with a new medication for her. (see below) She now walks with only a slight limp from time to time and can climb stairs and jump up on her hind legs. She couldn't make it up one step before this. The medication may only delay things for awhile, but everyday is a blessing. Good luck!
