Hello All -
Just got the news yesterday at a check up visit. My dog a 12 year old collie/shepherd mix, had been coughing for 2 1/2 months, we thought it was kennel cough and that would clear up vertually on its own since this is the only symptom that he had and he was still playing and eating and acting normal. But when the coughing didn't slow down or stop we took him in for a check up 1 1/2 months after his yearly vaccination visit and they took xrays and found that he had fluid in his lungs and a mass. They put him on lasix twice a day and wanted to see him again in two weeks, the vet confirmed that it was a tumor since it had grown. The fluid in his lungs has really went down and he has stopped coughing all day, he only coughs a handful of times a day now. I was wondering if there was anything that we could give him that would slow this down or help him in any way. Our vet says that there is nothing that we can do. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. |
