Airy, huh?

Torbin, Tamy  (no login)

Response to airy just doesn't git it

Torbin maintained light contact with Tamy, by way of a hand placed lightly on the girl’s shoulder, as they moved back into the camp from the trees where they’d left the two horses grazing peacefully. Tamy settled down beside Dase and Torbin selected the space across from them near Rhn, accepting the bowl with a smile.

Tamy had taken a bite of her dinner when Dase spoke to her quietly about Sai’a. Despite his comforting words, Tamy’s smile in return was troubled. Maybe Dase was right, but Sai’a had reason to be angry with Tamy. She had saved Tamy from the slaver and how had the girl repaid her? By annoying her and upsetting her in front of her friends.

A sudden pressure on the back of her head made Tamy fly to her feet. She was about to swat at her hair when Dase’s reassurances alerted her to what was going on. When he said that he could stop the force that was behind the sudden disturbance of Tamy’s hair, the little girl only giggled and shook her head. “Sorry about that,” she said as he handed her back her bowl. She resumed her seat.

“Shouldn’t someone tell them that dinner’s ready?” Dase asked, obviously indicating Sai’a and Val. Torbin hid a smile and shook her head.

“I don’t think so, Dase. It might be a little while, but hunger will bring them back around eventually.”

Tamy turned to Dase, a questioning look in her eyes. She wasn’t sure why, but whatever the invisible thing he called “Airy” was, it seemed familiar. Not necessarily this specific energy, but something closely akin. She couldn’t directly remember anything of the sort, and for that reason knew that this memory lived amongst the others buried deeply within her, those from the youngest years of her childhood that occasionally caught her in surprised déjà vu.

“What is Airy, Dase?” She asked quietly, squinting slightly when one of Airy’s enthusiastic tugs was a little too strong.

OOC: Okay, I'm an idiot and apparently didn't read your note efficiently enough. Since I don't have a login I can't edit my post, but go ahead and email me spar_kle2@yahoo.com and we can work out which parts of it to just ignore. lol. -rachel
