Response to Into the tents

Alexander noted when the others left the fire. He also sensed the tension. As of yet he hadn’t heard Jeremy laugh and so was a bit startled when he did. After they had spoken, with Jeremy relating a little more about his world, then noting the yawn and hearing Jeremy’s desire to go to bed, Alex created a ball of light, led him to his tent and followed him inside.

While Jeremy laid out his bedroll and undressed, Alex set up his sleeping area a bit more slowly. He sat down but didn’t undress for he discovered he wasn’t tired now. Alex had been tired before and wondered it he wasn’t now because of the candy. He had just sat down and was looking at Jeremy when the boy winked at him and commented. “Damn shame you only like women,”

His head shot around to look at the boy. “Jeremy!” Then he realized Jeremy was teasing him. “Goodnight, Jeremy. I’ve some things I need and want to do before I go to bed.”

He left the tent and went to retrieve his bow and quiver, Jeremy’s bow and the bullseye. He took all back and placed them just inside the tent. Then he went and took the melons back where he’d gotten them. After that he went back to the tent and gathered up some clothing. He left again and began walking along the stream enjoying the evening and looking for a place he could bathe that would afford some privacy. He finally spotted a place along the stream where tree limbs hung over the water forming a sort of secluded alcove.

Alexander moved along the bank between the water and the trees and found a small clearing. He set up a protective shield around the immediate area then set his clean clothing down and removed the clothes he was wearing. He entered the water and began bathing enjoying the evening light, the smells and the slightly muffled sounds drifting around him.
