I think you should have gotten a hairless cat (I think the're called egyptian). Hermit crabs seem disgusting (with legs falling off and stuff). I know your allergic to cats but you can get a hairless one. I think you'll have a lot in common. The only problem is that because of all of the inbreeding to get them hairless- they have a violent streak. Just get them declawed (and deteethed cause they'll bite)and give them their "space".

I am a vet from PA and wanted to set the record straight on the "hairless" cat. The breed is not from inbreeding, they actually age back to the egyptian times and they are very friendly animals. They have awesome personalities, and other than being odd looking, they actually act kinda like a dog. I can remember having a party and my cat "Rex" was right in the middle of it hanging out. They do however get cold very easily, and because they don't have hair, they do need a bath every other day because their oils will get on your furniture. They are quite expensive as well, but highly recomended if you can get past their appearance!!
tOdd, needs a snake. A boa constrictor is one of the best pets out there. It can be expensive unless you keep rats also. Than you can feed your pets your pets.
