Hello everyone,
I'm not a really a gun collector although I do own a No. 25 Daisy in original box made in Plymouth, Mi., a No. 41 06 1913 Indoor Skeetshoot with cardboard target in original box and a Sears Roebuck & Co. Model No. 799.19052 in near mint condition, manuf. by Daisy. The reason I'm posting is I'm looking for information on a plastic Daisy pistol Model 3803 that I picked up today. It is also in great condition. Has anyone come apon one of these? I wasn't aware that Daisy manufactured these. My main interest is in plastic vehicles from the 40's & 50's but I enjoy reading all the interesting talk on this board. Thanks for listening.
Hi
Is this a western looking pistol. Can you send a picture. Not alot of info on Daisy toy guns. Will check my toy pistol and see if the number is the same

Stevec,
Thanks for your quick response. I'm sorry , I don't have a camera but I put the pistol in my scanner and it came out half decent but I'm sorry to say I don't know how to send the picture. The gun is about 8 inches long, all black with the exception of the grips witch are yellow. It has a metal trigger and hammer. It says Daisy Toy on the grips and the Manufacturer and Model No. on the barrel. It has a vertical slot on the end of the barrel.
It looks to be a six shooter. Hope this helps.
Thanks

Hey Guy
Will check my toy guns.Is this a clicker gun or a cap gun
Stevec
The vertical slot in the end of the barrel sounds like it could be a rubber band gun.I have some of these, but I'm not sure Daisy made any. They made wooden guns during the war, etc.
Stevec,
This is a clicker gun. In my earlier message I should have described the grips as cream in color. I appreciate your help. I hope I'm not lowering the standards of this board with a non BB item but I thought it could be of interest to some.

Similar Toy Pistol

I have a similar Daisy Toy pistol. Mine is as you described with brown grips. The model number appears to be 4805.
I recall buying it at the local Western Auto store when I was a boy. I'm 39 so it is at least 30 years old.
Mine shows some play wear, but still works. The vertical slot on the end is more of a gap between the two molded halves. Perhaps that was the forerunner to the now familiar red or orange barrel tip?
My son will be 3 in December and saw the Daisy at my mother's house and immediately wanted to play with it. I let him, but overnight thought: "Hey, that might be something valuable." I found this site while trying to check it out.
Valuable or not, it is still a cool piece and a piece of my childhood.
