I am looking for any information on an UPTON model 40,1000 shot BB gun, manufactured by the UPTON Machine Co. St. Joseph, Mich. Around 1915-29. Thanks, fred //fred107@msn.com //

Upton Model 40

Your Upton Model was sold by Sears in 1922 for $1.48, it was the first 1000
shot made by Upton.
It has a streamline sheet metal frame and round barrel which is blued, the
stock is Pine or Gum.

Anyone got a picture or know why the name? Does that mean it shoots 1000 shots without reloading or that it falls apart after 1000 shots? Curious here and believe a picture is worth 1000 words (at least).

Hi
When it says like 350,500 or 1000 shot,it means you can load that many and shoot that many before you have to reload
