Where can I find info on the wooden guns Daisy made during World War 2?
I have found very little info on these other than they were made out of wood when metal was in short supply.
Did Daisy make a large quanity?
How many different models did they make?
Are they as valuable as the BB guns?
Thanks in advance for any info or where to look for additional info.

Rick,
Daisy made at least two of the wooden guns.
1. Daisy Commando Repeating Play Gun (New $1.19) Dec. 1942)
2. Chattermatic (New $.89 Dec. 1942.)
Both of these guns had the same logo on the stock Daisy Victory
with the Eagle Crest and a Daisy Gun.
I'm not sure how many guns were produced, but both of these are very scarce.
If you need more info, please contact me.

Wooden Daisy Guns

Louie, I appreciate the info.
I was just curious about the wooden guns.
I have a copy of the book Daisy The First 100 Years and see the two you mentioned listed. That is the only reference of the wooden guns I found and it does not give much info on them. I collect the older Daisy BB guns and just wanted to learn more about the wooden guns.
Are there other references to look for on the wooden guns?
Also how do I contact you?
Thanks

Rick,
Contact me at bangpla@aol.com.
I own one of the Commando guns, good condition, but I still need the Chattermatic gun.
I too usually only collect Daisy BB Guns, older pre 1958 guns.
I don't have much on the wooden guns, except for the original ad on both of these.
Keep in touch.
