I know that original Christmas Dream Red Ryders should have a lot number that begins with a 3 or 4, but I'm curious about the non-originals out there. For those of you who have "fake" Christmas Story rifles, what is the first letter of the lot number? I recently picked one up that starts with an E and I'm curious whether it is one of the fakes produced out of remnant stocks, or if someone removed the Christmas stock from an original and screwed it onto another rifle.
