I picked this small pistol up at a Flea market and I cant figure out who made it and how it works. There is a small lever that flips out from under the grips and seems to cock it.The only thing it says on it is Germany.

Maybe not

I dont think this is an airgun,It has a spring inside and its all metal but I think it may be a lighter. It really feels like a mini 22 firearm but I cant see how it would loaded,I have to take it apart tonight and figure this out.

Is this a teargas/blank pistol or an airgun?

Does the rear of the 'slide' fold down to insert a 'clip' holding the teargas/blanks?

Not an airgun for sure...

Gary is right - it's either blank (starter's pistol) or mebbe tear-gas.

Maybe a cap gun

December 11 2006, 10:15 PM

There is a small trap door that folds down on the back but it cant possible fire anything out the barrell because it pluuged.I think it may be a cap gun,The trigger assembly is nicer than a lot of 22 25 caliber pistols that I have seen.I cant beleive how well it's made for a cap gun.

Is there a hole in the top of the barrel/slide?

Similar guns I have seen used a metal block that held the cartridges and slid into the back of the slide through the trap door.

I never fired on so I am not sure how they worked or what the ammo looked like.

Blank starter gun

What you have is a .22 cal blank starter gun. I have one just like it. It is supposed to have a carrier in the back of the slide that you load the blanks into and slide it into the gun.

If it is like the one I have, there are little 'studs' on the part that slides out of the barrel.

You place the blanks over the studs and put it in the rear of the pistol.

I am not sure if it feeds from front to back or back to front.

I think the little piece that folds out of the bottom of the clip is to pry the fired shells out of the slide.
