Hi, I've been dabbling in air rifles but recently got a Red Ryder on a whim. It's fun ( I guess I like most things that shoot).
Anyway I saw the all zinc 2040 at Dicks recently and I'm a sucker for slide pump action. I liked the heft of it, however I've been unable to find any reviews or opinions on the thing. Anyone here have anything to offer? Thanks, Jack

I personally wouldn't buy any marksman air rifle no matter how much it catches my eye. they aren't worth the money because they are mostly plastic and they fall apart. I would invest in a nice Diana springer or even Crosman or Daisy. Anything is better than Marksman. But on the other hand if you are just looking for something cheap to putter around with and shoot paper targets then the Marksman would be a good gun for that. But don't be surprised if after about 600 shots it breaks. The parts are not made very well and Marksman guns are made so that once they break they can't be repaired very easily.
