DAISY MODEL 25 - HOW TO SELL

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have searched the archives before posting here. If I've missed something and I'm re-plowing issues already discussed, I apologize in advance.

I have two Daisy Model 25 rifle "kits" that I put together about ten years ago for my, then, young sons. Not liking how steel shot bounces off hard surfaces, steel BBs have always been banned in my house. So, I tracked down two lead shot tubes for the 25s and a bag of lead shot. I also purchased two cork ball tubes so they could shoot the Model 25s indoors. So, each rifle is capable of shooting steel shot, lead shot, or corks.

Now, I'm looking to dispose of these set ups. My questions are:

1) Would each of the two Model 25s (the rifles themselves don't seem to be of any special curiosity or vintage) be worth more to a buyer/collector as a kit with all three shot tubes or should I sell the lead shot and cork tubes indiviually?

2) I recall paying a premium for the lead ball tubes and was told they are somewhat rare. I'm not sure about the cork ball tubes. Is that still the case and, if so, can anyone give me a ball park value for these units, i.e. lead shot tubes and cork ball tubes?

I'm not looking to fund my retirement from the sale of these two units, but at the same time, I'd like to recover my investment and maybe some increase in value, if it's there.

Thank you in advance for considering my question/request!

/Emil

model 25

Hi.. i have a model 25.. Reg#AO75401 DAISY Air rifle..pump gun..mfged at the Daisy mfg co in Rogers Ark...the box says its a repeating pump gun with automatic feed..a take down model..it has flying ducks engraved on both sides on the receiver.. the stock is brown plastic with crossed rifles on the sides ..and what must be the hunters creed on the bottom..the only wear on the gun is some paint loss from the pump being slid back and forth.. while im not sure i think this air rifle was mfged in the early 1960s..the box is in fairly good and readable shape..except for the end flaps..from being opened and closed removing the gun from the box.. the gun seems to have been stored in a cocked position.. Do you have any idea what this air rifle with its box might be worth??.. Thank you Larry

Sell all parts individually, the same way you bought them. I think you would do much better that way.
