Well thought a new one should be started. Well it looks nice outside this morning so I think I can work on the car this weekend. I'm going to look at some bucket seats for it this evening. They are Mustang bucket seats but they look like they will suit my car.
Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun working on your car and the weather should be a lot more suitable for doing so.
We had a chance of up to an inch of snow today (central Illinois) but looks like it will be all rain.
Be sure to post a picture now and then of your car.
It is warm enough to do more shooting now, have a nice spring.

Shooting is something I have to get out and do. I haven't been out shooting in a while. And not to mention with all the car parts I have to pay for the pellets can get quite costly. I will be sure to post some more updated pics of my car soon.

Was going to do some shooting last weekend but the wind was howling here.
I was able to find a spot to shoot my Benjamin pistol that was out of the wind somewhat.
O well there's allways next weekend.
Went back a few bulls and found your car pics RM.
That's a nice body style.
Is there a bull missing I noticed # 136 seems to be missing

Nice!! I really like Mustangs. One day I would love to have any one of the old 60's mustangs. How does it drive? Is she good on gas? Do you have the V6 or the V8?
I have seen some of the new mustangs in lime green but not a real dark green. Dark green would look cool though.

RM the Benjamin's are the bicycle style pistols. Models # 177 & # 122
Stevec that's a slick looking Mustang. It's even the correct color in my opinion.
I've become a Ford fan over the last few years myself. It just got to hard to find Studebaker parts so I had to jump ship and go Ford.
I like the old iron but I was a mechanic for years and do appreciate the simple style of older vehicles

Well it was a super nice weekend and I worked on my car a little. I also helped my friend lift the body off of his 1972 Chevelle. Man the bodies on those old cars are heavy. I also made $70 doing some yard work. I went to a SWAP meet sunday and bought some intake mainifold gaskets for my 455. The whole engine is now together and all it needs now is a distributer, coil, alternator, and starter. I know it sounds like a lot but it's not really that bad. I will get most of those items at a SWAP meet for cheap.

Sounds like the Buick is getting a big block in the future. Have fun in it RM but be careful.
I ended up working all weekend. It was supposed to rain here Monday & Tuesday so I thought those would be days off. Its raining tonight so tomorrow will be a day off.
I do Backhoe work and this time of the year if its dry I try to stay busy with it.
Kind of have to do that the winters here are wet and slow.
Might work on the truck tomorrow. Then again might just go fishing I will figure it out in the morning I guess.
Stevec did Ford acquire Jaguar?. I remember reading something about some Jag's running Duratec engines in them.

Went and looked up my Jag question It looks like Fords had Jag since 1989.
I remembered seeing something about Jaguar when searching for info on Duratec engines last fall.
At the time we thought our daughter had cooked the engine in her Taurus but luckily that was not the case after all.

April 30 2007, 5:04 AM
I recently aquired a Benjamin air rifle. There is no model # it has a square head where the bolt action is,and the pump is located at the end of the gun just below the barrel. If you are familiar with this would you please let me know what years this particular gun was produced. It does say Benjamin no 700 in a round stamp encircled by Benjamin air rifle co ST louis etc thank you for any info. Brian

The 700 was produced from 1939-1940. I would take good care of it as most of the old Benjamin Sheridan air rifles and air pistols are quite collectable.

Hot & dry here in Tenn. Getting nervous about the trees I planted this spring.
I might have to rent a pump and irrigate them with creek water if it does not rain soon.
I parked my old project truck for awhile. Found that once it was running I kind of quit working on it. Need to finish the doors & do the bodywork & paint on it

Well I've been working a bit on the car. I changed the spark plugs and roughly set the timing on the 350. It runs pretty good and I am now rebuilding the Holley Carburetor I bought for it. I'm moving the car to my aunt's house soon because it will be easier to work on and I can have it on pavement up on blocks so that I can get the underside done. I didn't realize until yesterday when I was crawling around under the car how much body work it is going need underneath.

Hey All
Just working trying to get this night club built in Wash,DC.Been looking around for bb guns but can't find much.Did find a Christmas Story Red Ryder but I had one so I sold it and made a little profit.Hey RM.the more you dig around and the deeper you get into the car is where you are going to find the rust. That is why alot of people do a body off restoration so they can get at everything.Takes alot of work and money to do that.

Hey man you should have sold me the Christmas Story RR I have been looking for one.lol. I would like to do a body lift on my car and restore the whole thing but you are right it is a lot of work. I helped my buddy do it to his 1972 Chevelle and there is no way I want to go through that again unless I really have to. Maybe someday in the next few years I will do it. But as for this year I want to get it on the road with a nice paint job.
