PowerLine 1200: What is a "LOT" # ?

My old Powerline 1200 has a lot # (B256450) embossed on the diecast barrel cover - what does that # signify and can it be used to more accurately date the gun?

What year range were the metal versions of this gun manufactured?

I don't know if anybody bothers to fix these. Mine leaks around the valve and the diecast valve body appears to have 'warped' and is probably not in any shape to ever hold gas again - the valve would probably have to be replaced. Anybody have any suggestions on a source for a replacement?

Thanks

I also have a powerline 1200. The metal version of the gun could range from 1975 - 95. I have a question for you though. Which Co2 cartridge do I need to get for my gun? I bought some at Walmart but they were not the same as the old empty one in the gun.

The standard 12gr powerlets from Crosman or Daisy are what mine was designed for. Available pretty much everywhere. Hope that helps
