Did someone watch the first model listed recently on the auction.
I was planning to watch it sell and missed the end.
Does anyone know what it sold for?
It was out of my league but I was interested in what it sold for.
One of the earlier variations went for $6883 on Auction Arms recently.
Does anyone know?

Early daisy gun

Looks like someone got to him with an offer, it's a pity as I was also
watching it closley as I recently pick one up in the UK.
And was interested in what the real cost would be for mine.
Most annoying!!!

The Seller told me he was not going to sell it. He didn't realize it was worth anything, so he was going to keep it in the family. So who knows what really the deal is.

Are you asking about the Daisy with the wire stock and the wood insert with cast iron receiver that just closed?

First or Third Model

January 4 2008, 10:16 AM

Bill, you are probably right.
Any wire stock looks like the first model to me. They are really nice and I like all of them, I just can not afford them. I thought the wood slab inside the wire was a nice addition. I wonder if daisy used the wood insert as extra structure for strength or just to make it look nicer.
Does anyone really know?

Wood inserts in wire stock Daisy BB Guns

January 4 2008, 9:53 PM

Probably not. The 1ST and 2ND models had only wire stocks. The 3RD models had both as did what is called the 20th Century Guns. Once Daisy started with sheet metal guns wire stocks were no longer used.

I guess I just do not get it. Why do people take offers and remove the item from the auction. If you leave it on the auction it always sells for more if you have people bidding for it. It also gives everyone a chance to bid on it. The other way only a few slick talkers buy all the good collector pieces.
I could not afford it anyway but I just don't get it!!!
I just like a level playing field!!!!

Right

I agree.

It is a shame they can outsmart the sellers.

It cheats the seller and those who would have bid.

Auctions do truly get top dollar, but sometimes people don't want to wait to get their money. Some people have the gift of gab and talk these people out the the stuff too.
