Was at the local gun shop today and found and old Daisy Model 25. It has a wood stock and on the top of the receiver it has DAISY No 25; DAISY MFG.CO.; PLYMOUTH, MICH.U.S.A.; PATENTS PENDING. Coated with rust, seems to work(cocks and fires when trigger pulled-need to get some BB's). How do you tell if it is a long or shot pull. Stock is not a pistol grip.

The Long and Short of it

December 14 2008, 9:14 AM

Long vs Short

The early short slide measures about 6 1/2" from the end of the barrel to the 'clamp' that holds the forend to the barrel.

The long slides are about 3 1/4" from the end of the barrel.

The extra length made them easier to cock.

Gary,

Thanks for the information. Mine measures at 5 1/2 inches from the muzzle to the front of the clamp. Also the sight is fixed.
