Well here is another one. I don't have much to say this time, other than it has been really cold here for the past couple of weeks. I can't wait till spring time when it warms up again and I can work on the Skylark and maybe do some shooting. Thanks.
I need help finding some parts for a bb gun Circ. 1960 Daisy. Where are you at that it's so cold?

Sorry can't help you with the daisy parts. Someone else on the forum will be able to though. I'm in southern Ontario Canada. It gets cold. 20 below zero for the past 2 weeks. Today was the warmest day we have had yet this winter at 4 above zero.
That would be 4 below zero fahrenheit, and 39.2 fahrenheit respectively, to you that don't use metric.(And some of use old guys)
It's been cold here in south central B.C. too, but it's sure nice by the fire.
I'd like to see a pic of your Skylark when it's finished RM422.KD

I will be sure to post a pic of the Skylark when it is done. Don't worry.lol. It is now wrapped up outside for the winter. I can't wait until the warm weather comes and I can work on it again. I also need to do a little fixing on the Sunfire as well. Not much though. Thanks.
I have been busy with all the freezing rain and snow. We have put down over 4,000 tons of salt so far and are only about halfway through the snow season.
It is supposed to get above freezing tomorrow, hope it melts some of this. It is supposed to be windy too, about 20 mph so we will probably have drifting and melting/freezing on the pavements.
It has been a month or more since I have done any shooting.
Got a new Governor yesterday, he will HAVE to be an improvement over Blagojevich.
Looking forward to spring and warm weather.

Heyv I see bavaria55n posted on 143. I think we are losing track of the Bull sessions.lol. So what's new with everyone?
Somebody asked a question on 143, it was about the M-1 pictures.
It was 11 degrees F this morning but it is supposed to get in the 60's by the weekend.
I am ready for spring.
I have done a little shooting in the back yard but it is still too cool to shoot for long.
I just bought one of the Winchester/Daisy/Turkish 1000's.
It has a beautiful walnut stock and seems to shoot well.
I need to run some different kinds of pellets through it and see what it likes best.
I also picked up an old military Remington rolling block in 50/70. A friend is loading up some ammo for me now. I am looking forward to shooting it.

It's 54 degreesF here today. Which is not too bad.
I've done a little shooting, but more tree pruning.
We have three apple, three plum, two cherry, and two pear.
I didn't get to them last year, because of working out of town, so they're a mess.
Take care all, and have a great spring. KD

Question..on the cowboy "six-shooter"BB gun....
April 9 2009, 11:25 PM
Howdy, Does anyone have any facts concerning the vintage Healthways Western Plainsman co2 BB "single-action" pistol...such as how many shots from the 8 gram gas cylinder and the average velocity? The reason I ask is the possible designing of a new 50th Anniversary Crosman/Hahn co2 Western single-action with gas cylinder in the grip instead of under barrel that looks unsightly. The Healthways had the co2 in the grip, why can"t a Crosman? Also does anyone have a Healthways Western Plainsman co2 with the neddle/valves etc. intact that still shoots and would sell?

Well not much going on, on this end. It's raining pretty good right now. It's been to muddy to work on my car. Soon I will be able to work on here again though.
It has warmed up here and stopped raining, 70 (F) today.
I shot my 50/70 rolling block last week with some ammo a friend loaded for me.
Recoil was not bad and at 70 yards 5 shots will go into one ragged hole, a BIG hole, but still just one hole.
I have been doing a little shooting in the backyard with the airguns, mostly the RWS 45 and Daisy 717.
I will probably plant a couple of tomatoes this week but may have to cover them a time or two if we get a late frost.
Be sure to show us some pictures as you get more done on your car.

Hey guys I haven't been too busy lately. Ive been trying to find work. I got layed off from the lumber yard back in January. With the recession nobody is hiring right now.I had a bity of yard work jobs here and there but thats it. Ive been trying to get into to some welding shops but no luck so far. I'll find something though. I got into College for September. I was excepted into the Fitter/Welder program. Hopefully that works out well. So what have you guys been up to? I guess I'll talk with ya'll later. Thanks.
Dennis Baker of Den's Bait Shop, 19711 County Road, Mt Victory, OH 43340 (937 935 4887) baker19711@yahoo.com has been my source of repair/spare parts. I have found him to be honest, reliable, friendly and helpful in providing me with my requirements. If i give him bum scoop he doesn't get upset, rather even more helpful. I hope this helps someone out there.

Well I got another job. I start monday. I get to weld rebar tanks and other various steel projects. This will hopefully give me enough money to hold me over for most of college. I cant wait to start. Well talk to ya'll later. Thanks.
I suspect your job market is as slim as it is in the States.
What is a rebar tank?
Hope you have time to do some shooting.
I have not had an air rifle out for over a month!!!

Ya the job market is pretty slim. A rebar tank is a form that goes in the ground and concrete gets poured over top of it to make a concret tank in the end. For example something like a cisterne would be poured over one of these rebar tanks. Rebar is also what goes under the driveway as a base along with the gravel before concret is poured. I was just out shooting the other day. Isn't much fun shooting by myself though. So the shooting didn't last long.lol. Well talk to ya'll later. Thanks.
Yep, shooting alone is a pooper. My 8 grandchildred, boys and girls, look forward to Grandpa's visits as well as I look forward to visiting them because I lug lots of my air guns and ammo and it is a storm of laugher and shouts. Funny thing, they all applaud when one of them hits the tin cans or pie plates; they come from 3 family groups and these family gettogethere are hilareous. My children, their parents, don't much appreciate Grandpa and his "arsonal" but I tell them where to go.
Hope it works out well and helps you build your skills.
What do you usually shoot at, paper targets, tin cans?

sounds like you have quite the number of shooting pals. I wish I had that many lol. Its always a lot of fun when more than 2 people are shooting.
Bavaria55n I usually shoot at tin cans. Im not much into shooting paper I like the sound when the pellets hit the can. Shooting at wooden figures is fun as well as match sticks. I can snap a match stick in half from 30 feet. I not big on shooting live targets anymore. I grew out of that a while ago. The ocassional squirrel that is being a pest but thats it. I have taken to basicly just tin cans. Well I'll talk to ya'll later. Thanks.
Tin cans are a lot of fun. We used to hand them from a string and swing them for a little variety.
Not sure what the laws are in Canada so it may not be legal but we used to put a plastic jug out in the lake and shoot at it from a couple hundred yards away.
You would need to pick out a place on the tree line to aim at because the pellet dropped so much. If the wind or current was moving very much you had to allow for that each shot as well.
It was amazing how accurate the guns were if you took your time.
Another contest was to shoot into the soft mud across a stream. The pellet would make a hole anywhere from pellet size to half an inch or more in diameter depending on the mud and power of the gun.
Then you would see how many shots you could put in the same hole without touching the sides.
I just purchased a Hahn lever action bb gun and I need to find out what its worth and if any replacement seals are available.
Do you have any idea as to the value or the availablity a replace seals.

Shooting alone
September 21 2009, 12:06 AM
I lost sight of this web site, finally located it again; the shooting is still going on, but sadly, a very much loved family from my church that were from the UK that had been living here for 8 years had to return "home" so I lost two shooters that lived close by; they wanted desperately to remain in the US but he worked for the BBC, got paid well w/bennies,(they have four kids) and he just couldn't find an appropriate sponsor (takes big bucks for that).
A lot of us don't realize how great we have it here.

Mr. Lane the best place for having your Hahn Lever action BB rifle resealed would be to try Hugh Bodey: aanh@frontiernet.net or ahsystems.hypermart.net phone 541-863-4030
