Hey Louie
Did some reading about the model 155 plus I have one.I can't find anything about a gold colored 155.Do you think someone might have just painted the one you have
Stevec
I know this would be possible, but it looked like original paint when I bought the gun. I see in the Blue Book of Value, it does say Painted in 1953, but it does not say Gold, so this could mean just the normal black paint. If you have a copy of the book produced by Gary Garber of only Plymouth guns, 2007 he did not mention any "gold" painted guns in the Model 155, but I know there are still questions out there about some of the Daisy guns. I will continue to do some research on this one.

I would say it would be very possible. Daisy stamped several gondolas full of barrels up prior to painting and when they started running the 104. Somebody rolled a gondola of 155 barrels to the paint line.

Bob and Stevec,
Thanks for your input. I sent a note to Orin Ribar at the Daisy Museum to see if perhaps he has any info on this.
Bob, your comment is interesting about the painting possibility. I guess we learn something new all the time, and that makes the hobby more challenging and interesting as well I think.
