There were 10 variations, first in 1954 to 1957, but there is some unusual
other variations as well.

Model 80

My first BB gun was a model 80.

I got it the summer between kindergarten and 1st grade.

It had the short 960 stock with the Pledge on the butt plate.

It came in a set with canteen, bell ringer target, paper targets and some packages of BB's.

I had shot a Number 25 my grandfather had borrowed but I had to get down on my knees, gunstock on the ground between my legs and pull with both hands to cock it. Loading was not very easy either. My thumb still hurts just remembering.

Many thousands of BB's and about 8 or ten years later the shot tube jammed and I twisted it in two trying to get it out.

Sure had a lot of fun times with it.

Gary
