I just acquired a Daisy 95 with no sights front or back. Wood furniture. What's up with this gun? Labeled MODEL 95. Are the civilian "quickskill" rifles marked model 2299? I would think they were. What do I have here?

Mine is marked 2299.

Not sure what you have.

What markings did the military guns have?

I've read a little on them. Seems they were all marked in some way or another, "US Property"
This thing has no front or rear sights,. but it does have holes in the side of the receiver for a scope.
Are you familiar with the 95s and variants? My blue book mentions none with no sights and a scope.

What you have is a civilian version of the U. S. Army's QuickKill that Daisy supported in the 60's, a highly sucessful training program that prepared GI's for combat in VietNam.

I was a 20-year Marine; we didn't use them because we were too busy with the real stuff. No slur intended here, just a reality check.

Very informative link.

Looks like these were all marked MODEL 95.
My REG NO doesn't match the ones shown. Can I call Daisy to get more info on the Reg No?
