Is this model a re-make of the old 25? Does this model have a plastic loading port on the side and a plastic front sight?? I have never seen a 225 model Thanks.

Daisy Model 225

In 1994 Daisy introduced a special run of the Model 225 American Legend, basicall the good old classic Model 25, as a way of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Model 25 itself. It has a plastic loading door on the side of the barrel (no 50 shot compression shot tube); plastic stock and and enlarged plastic tootsie roll up front. Metal screw adj rear sight and a plastic ramp type front sight. I recently acquired a new-in-the-plastic wrapped semi-carton/box (wasn't a complete box that you would expect). I hope this helps.

And yes, it is a remake of the Model 25, looks just like it. I have not seen a Model 225 up for sale since I bagan haunting the auction sites; either they are all junk by now, or treasured too much to sell.

you should also remember daisy also made a 225 model 25 similarity in a cork gun with no door for bb but you could still single feed bb down barrel and shoot
