Discovered a Daisy model 200 pistol in old storage cabinet and want to know if there is an operators manual available for it or just how to load and shoot it. Thanks, Phil
I just bought a Daisy 200 CO2 pistol last weekend at an estate sale for $2 and was trying to locate an operators manual also.I can get it to fire several times but am not sure of exactly what the moving slide part just above the trigger is suppose to do. Anyways if you get any responses would you mind sharing them with me. Thanks Ray
The Daisy-200 air pistol is prone to leaking co2.It is unsual to find one that does not leak and to compound this problem they are a problem to fix. I know of no one presently repairing them although some do it yourselfers have claimed to have success in repairing them. They do not command a high value and can usually be bought with the orig.box for $30-$45 [+ s&h].[pretty guranteed to be a leaker.
Loading & firing
1-Remove the left grip using fingerslot.
2-Unscrew lanyard ring and put some pellgun oil on a the tip of a co2 cylinde and insert it in the space in the grip between the retainer cup and the piercing pin.
3- Tighten the lanyard ring until the piercing lightly touches the co2 cylinder then rotate the co2 cylinder with yout thum until the piercing pin is centered on the co2 cylinder cap.
4-Holding the co2 cylinder with your thum turn the lanyard ring 1 1/2 to 2 turns clockwise to effect a good seal.
If gas starts to leak when the cylinder is pierced Push the magazine feeder tab forward and hold...release the safety dry fire 3-4 times without bb's in a safe direction. This should seal the valve and stop the leak
To load bb's
1-swing aside loading cover and pour bb's[no more than 175]and close cover
To fire.
Tilt the muzzle down then rase it straight up,this is Important! While holding the muzzle up push the magazinetab towards the muzzle...hold...shake slightly...then release.Next releast the safety...anf fire in a safe direction repeat after every 5 shots.
Caution- do not oil! and use only Pellgun gun oil or a suitable substitute on the tip of the co2 cylinde.[about every 5-6 co2 changes.
GOOD LUCK.And always be careful.
Ejwills.
