Given the fact people you would expect to know about it or have it don't, it is a possibility.

Someone should come up with the answer soon.

Hi Guys,
I new to this forum. I do not know what you mean by knock off. I found them last month showing on Bass Pro for back order. I contacted Bass Pro and ordered one which finally arrived this week. I also contacted Daisy and was informed that they were making 1,000 of these model 25's for Bass Pro and not for anyone else. I can tell you it is a nice gun. It is accurate and fun to shoot.

Jason

Thanks for the information on production numbers.

It will be interesting to see if good sales will see them make more of them.

Knock off refers to an unlicensed copy made without the approval of the original maker.

Mystery Daisy 25

I continue to be amazed at this kind of market strategy; it could represent a test market to determine how well the product would do. Many companies study the proposed areas in which they think the research indicates a likely market and then sets up distribution points in which to test the product, and depending on initial sales results, then react to either pull the product or expand.

No doubt there are other distribution points some where in the United States, and more likely as not, in other countries but we will never know, well, perhaps not never but not any time soon, as to what their strategy was, knowing that Daisy has more than a few competetors out there in BB Gun Manufacuring Land.

I wonder how the prices would fluctuate if they pulled the new Model 25's off the shelve because if didn't sell as well as Daisy would have hoped.. Especially since they're making only 1K guns (as for now..)
