Re: school photo, wwyd?

I am a photographer and would do the retake!!! I would call the photographer and tell that you want some shots of DS with a smile. It's pretty standard to do both open and closed mouth shots, but there are some people who typically don't like toothless smiles. I am not sure who you should call at the school about the comment, but I might mention it to the teacher/principal and let them deal with that end of it.

Get what you want first -- be sure you like the photos and then you can always write a letter after you get the photos you want.
