maybe mom didn't want to walk all the way to pick up ds and THAT I thought wasn't ok. But I guess one has to know the specifics of what happened. You are right though, either the action is safe or it isn't, regardless of the particulars. Though I do refrain from allowing ds to do some things even though it's inconvenient for me at times, mostly for reasons of safety, or a bit more of a hassle to let him do stuff mostly to encourage development. In the end, the bottom line is what works best for each situation.
