He said based on the information from the spinal tap and the optic nerve test and everything else they know, it is less likely that I have MS than that I do! I was not expecting to hear this at all. This is the most hopeful thing I have heard yet, and, while there is no definitive test for MS and I might still have or develop it eventually, I do feel like this is really good news. I have to repeat the MRIs in five months (sooner if any new symptoms develop). He said the weird incident where I couldn't speak properly is not typical of MS, and is more often associated with migraines. The lesion on my spine might be related to some old virus I came into contact with. The lesions on my brain are non-specific and might be related to migraines. So really good news! Thanks for holding my hand through all this. Now I've just got to put it out of my head until July.
