Response to My 6 y/o was hit between the eyes with a bat

only I got hit between the eyes with a 9 iron golf club. Back in 1975 no one thought too much about concussions - after they saw a clear x-ray, they were more concerned with what was visible - so the 8 stitches on my forehead and resulting scar were the big deal - and the ensuing shag hairstyle with bangs to cover it. It marked the end of long hair for me. It was a case of curiosity - I had never seen a golf club in person and I did not realize how it was used - I think I was thinking of lawn polo and I was standing too close on the back swing...THWACK!

I remember the headaches.

It's very difficult to slow things down, but it is a must for the optimal and shortest route to recovery. No physical stimuli, no visual stimuli and no auditory stimuli - essentially a sensory deprivation chamber is what is needed. Poor guy! And poor you! I would be beside myself!
