I agree about getting fitted.
You may be very pleasantly surprised. I've had different luck depending on my size.
Currently, my best bras are Soma's t-shirt bras. Previously I had a little "spillage" issue in one cup, but as my post-partum weight has come off, they now fit the best. My Vanity Fair bras, which fit the best previously, now don't offer enough support. Too little support & they leave too much giggle.
The Soma bras actually offer a lot of support, no nipple show-through, & minimized giggle. (34DD currently.) I'm actually lopsided, as many women apparently are, & if the bra has enough structure, it should hide the deflated tops. I don't mean a lot of padding, either. Just enough structure to the bra, like Soma's. There's some padding b/c it's needed to hide show-through, but not the padding of a true padded bra, which adds cup size.
OTOH, I remember going to a lady who sold bras from her home years ago, with my mom. Whoa. I left with bras that felt like vices & left a pointy silhouette. LOL! Needless to say, I didn't wear mine.
