Yesterday after DS (2.5) woke up from his nap, I walked in the room and he had one foot hooked over the edge like he was trying to climb out. Having always been very obedient and a good sleeper, I told him "no climbing" and attempted to put him down as normal last night. He went down fine and made no escape attempts all night. However, I was up every hour or less terrified that he was trying to climb out again, so I decided today to take the front off the crib. He loved getting in and out on his own, and went down for his nap with no problems.
Tonight is a different story...it is 10pm here and he is still not asleep (he's always asleep by 8 after a 7:30 bedtime). He is getting in and out of his "new bed", opening and closing the door. We are doing what I read about in weissbluths book and just laying him back down without talking to him, but DH and I want to go to bed soon too! Any ideas?
