Meg, to answer your question, I would say my DS struggled a little bit socially before going to preschool. He had some issues playing with his slightly older cousins (I wouldn't say major issues) but since then, I can go to my sister's house and we can just let the kids play and not worry about them at all. It's a great feeling! I feel like preschool played a big role in this. It might be an adjustment for your DS at first, but I think it will pay off.
