BEYOND THE FALL & YET A PARANOID SOCIETY

It sometimes makes you wonder how human beings though fundamentaly same can be so different just as you cross the Geo-Political boundaries . The era of cold war now over , though memories still linger . Its worth revisiting the era & analysing the two societies the USA & the Russian . The USA’s society as I observe through chronology of historical events seems to me as a paranoid society . For instance let me start with the classical “Capitalism Vs Socialism” concept , What did the USA’s capitalistic society had to loose to socialism ? What I’m trying to convey is if Socialism being a apt model for USSR & certain other parts of Europe & even if spreading beyond , how did it mattered to capitalism if it was such a perfect model for the world , even with so many loop holes , Why did capitalism have to prove itself & go to conquest & rather not spread as a well accepted influence ? Now the USA society talks about “Health Care System” , “Subsidised Education” , “Welfare Policies For Aged” ect , what are all these basicaly concepts from socialism , yet if you try to convince an American that its socialistic values , the response you get is that its mere civic rights , virtues & if still you argue about it you are told they rather not use the cold war key word that made USA’s society paranoid enough to well initiate the cold war which ultimately led to the collapse of an alternate view - a socialistic view of the world .
Take yet another example which might seem cold but talking with a higher level of conscience it might seem a worth wondering issue . The 9/11 attacks by religious fanatics , almost brought the american lifes to grinding halt , even the power hub , the mysterious pentagon wasn’t spared , this actually exhibits the vunerability even of the feared T-Rex - USA . It’s a pity the best brains from around the world working to shape a new world in a truly global village NY were eliminated all thanks to the seeds sowed by USA itself as a cold war stratergy which turned out to be poisionous strangulating weed as soon as the USA gardners forgot to mow their Afgan gardens , I’m refering to Al-Qeada which was infact was established with the help of USA so as to statergically balance out USSR . Anyways coming to the point , What I’m trying to convey is were was this “Fight Against Terrorist” world conscience when thousands of Indians were being killed in Kashmir Valley by the religious extremist bred in the Pakistan , when chechen rebels were human bombing & humiliating Russia , I assume terrorism activities here are accepted as , just a way of life here . How could it be different . A terrorist attack on USA made the USA paranoid enough to render the Iraqi desert into a desert & almost made UN an irrelevant entity & reasons given for it were absolutely ridiculous - WMDs , Where are they anyways ? It seemed as if they were searching for the WMDs behind Sadam’s molars as exhibited in degrading photographs of Sadams capture ?
Lets take another recent example & an Indian perspective to it , Yes I’m talking about the recent “Anti - outsourcing” outcries in the USA . I remember in 1970’s when japanese industry especialy the Electronics & Automobile industry were growing , the American dinning room cries were that “The Japanese are going to take over our jobs”. Then came 1980’s jobs when the robots were employed extensively across various industries leading to industrial boom , they whined about robots stealing there. It seemed the Americans went too far with “Machine Taking Over Humans” the classical hollywood movie theme , there was a huge unrest in the American society . And yet again now , the paranoid society is blaming the Chinese , Indians , Russians for stealing their jobs , when their co-operates following their capitalist policies , freedom are trying to follow the classical business model of cutting cost , looking for cheap resources so as to maximise profit by outsourcing work to these countries . After looking at the intensity of states intervention in the Co-operates policies in USA , the only word that comes to mind is hypocrisy . Isnt the concept of state intervention in cooperates policy seems like socialistic influenced view ?
On the other hand look at Russia now , with over 10 years of democracy , which I‘m strongly convinced , has paralysed the already mis-managed system . Yes Russia lost the initial war to democracy & capitalism but now it seems the kremlin is ready to win this battle as it with slow , tactical ,very gradual & stealth guerilla warfare has eliminated all opposition in duma & even if a handfull of liberlals exist in opposition would hardly be capable of redirecting the lost Mamoth - Russia to the path of democracy , I mean isnt it amazing to know there aint a opposition & that too in a huge country none other that Russia . It wont be foolish to think there is a possibilty we are progressing back to cold war era as , rumours of making Putin a life time president of Russia , which even if not hyped is quite possible . Apart the public cares about democracy the least , which even I made out with this hopeless decived like expression from an average Russian “ It wasn’t desgined for Russia , It wasn’t meant for Russia , It’s a western worlds toy” . According to them the soviet era atleast assured them bread to sustain life , if not butter as a luxury of life but now life is miserable , the corruption , the poverty , the inequality ( which I think is an nightmare for a country which had socialist system for years , which if nothing more atleast guaranteed equality , even if not oppurtunity ) , the very lingering humiliation of cold war defeat , the indifferent attitude from step brothers - the other European countries & biggest of them is the trauma of amputation - the fall of erstwhile USSR . And it certainly does make even the best economist , politicians , socialist wonder is DEMOCRACTIC CAPITALIST society the best solution to every problem of the world & above all was it actually a solution to Russia’s problems . It now seems with the worlds current affair the Afgan War , The Iraq War , The Impotent UN & the way Russia is evolving it perhaps is possible the world might just return to the cold war era with a ting this time , as new emerging poles like Brazil, India ,China come into the picture too.
