There is enough food on the planet to feed everyone. All we need is a method of distribution which could be done virtually overnight halting the needless starvation of 40,000 people everyday.

True, food itself is not the real problem; the system of distributing it (capitalism) is what causes the horror of capitalism. But humankind still has to make some serious adjustments, such as ending the practice of using vast quantities of grain to feed cattle destined to be horribly slaughtered in the name of McDonald's or Burger King.

There is enough food to feed us all, and those capitalists who refuse to distribute it to the hunger-ridden are guilty of mass murder.

that it would take 4 planets like Earth to sustain the living standard the kind Us has if it was to be implemented as such on the humanity of the entire planet.

Thats not true, if all the money in the world was distributed eqauly, everyone would have 1 million dollars. Im not saying communism would distribute money eqauly to everyone, thats not how communism works, but this planet has a resources to sustain everybody at a reasonable living standerd. Your thinking in money, not material. We have the material to put everyone in a house, give everyone the food and medication they need and provide them with a job.

" Thats not true, if all the money in the world was distributed eqauly, everyone would have 1 million dollars. "
US economy makes what, 10-11 trillion a year. Divide 11trillion with 280 million people US has and each person in US gets around 40,000 per year.
Entire world makes what, maximum 50 trillion per year and divide that with 6.3 billion people and average person gets less then $8,000 per person. I don't see any millions here per person.
Ps: and YES it would take 4 planet Earths to sustain the same living standards average American has if it was to implemented on all 6.3 billion people (already the natural resources are seriously depleted and world has capability to increase economic output 50 fold from present levels (China, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Brazil, Nigeria, etc.) which translated into decreased living and usable space as well as increased pollution levels. Solution is to drastically decrease (sterilization, etc.) the numbers of humanity to no more then 0.5 billion (preferably 200 million globally) over time and decrease unnecessary consumption as well. Increased life spans and improved medicine will prove to be more harmful to earth and finally humans in long run.

goddammit bornetokill i hate you so much, you say "prove it," but your not looking for an intellectual debate, you just go around the forums being a dick to everyone. provide one reason, without saying merely "it sucks," for why you hate communism. if you use russia or china as examples or tell me that communism makes everyone poor, then it will just proove how ignorant you are. if you can produce one valid reason i cannot argue with, then i will drive to your house, apartment, or trailer and suck your dick for the rest of your life

What incentive to you give the average person to work, or work hard? I think we need TV and Ipods to keep the masses working hard. If we didn't have them human nature dictates that people would not work hard and then we'd have a lot more then 40,000 people starving each day. I'd like to know how you would fix this problem.

The world produces enough food to feed everyone. World agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago, despite a 70 percent population increase. This is enough to provide everyone in the world with at least 2,720 kilocalories (kcal) per person per day (Food and Agriculture Organization 2002, FAO 1998. The principal problem is that many people in the world do not have sufficient land to grow, or income to purchase, enough food.
Poverty is the principal cause of hunger. The causes of poverty include poor people's lack of resources, an extremely unequal income distribution in the world and within specific countries, conflict, and hunger itself. There are an estimated 1.08 billion poor people in developing countries who live on $1 a day or less (Global Poverty Monitoring, World Bank). Of these, an estimated 798 million suffer from chronic hunger, which means that their daily intake of calories is insufficient for them to lead active and healthy lives. Extreme poverty remains an alarming problem in the world’s developing regions, despite the advances made in the 1990s, which reduced "dollar a day" poverty from (an estimated) 1.23 billion people to 1.08, a reduction of 12.2 percent over the period. Progress in poverty reduction has been concentrated in Asia, and especially, East Asia. In all the other regions, the number of people in extreme poverty has increased. (Food and Agriculture Organization 2002).
