People have raised concerns over Russias new missle he claimed they were developing(read news on new class of Russia's missIe),I believe we have to put this news into context with history, Mr. Putin was just responding to Americas arrogant attitude regarding the 1972 ABM treaty.My country,under former pres.R.Reagen defaulted on that treaty,claiming that we would destroy the evil empire(USSR) by out spending them on defence.This was a very stupid move on my countries behafe,mutual assurred destruction was the theory behind the 72 treaty and by defaulting that agreement it sent the signal to the world that the U.S. could have a nuclear war and survive the outcome.The USSR collapsed and american capitalist cheered claiming it was because we out-spent the USSR on defence,today Americans still believe that.The U.S.never did make a successful working system but,the propaganda worked fooling most of the world to believe that we had some kind of shield against a nuclear attack,we didn't.Now, pres.Bush continued the "star wars" idea by starting up that program and providing big$$$ for american defence contractors,the system is still in developement and hasn't been perfected yet!Pres. Putin is just responding to my countries stupid actions!
