Actually it is a pretty good idea. After they have been clubbed, it makes much more sense to eat the seal, rather than just skin it and leave the rest to rot.
In Labrador, I have eaten seal-burgers and they are really good.
There are a lot of starving people that would like to eat seal. |

I consider both whale and seal to be unsatisfying. What about Carp? There are plenty of those wasting enough precious space that is needed for other water creatures. |

Save a seal - eat a dolphin!
Dolphin tastes a lot like tuna. In fact 30% of the contents of a tuna can is dolphin.
Yum, Yum, my favorite. I love dolphin for dinner!

Does anyone know how I can by some sealmeat? I see the hunting is about to start and I was wondering if I could buy some and get it shipped to the LA area?
Anyone know if you can? |

Seal meat can be bought from;
Williams and Sons
Tresbien
Quebec
416-933-0928
It costs about C$1.50 per pound when you buy the whole seal. The babies are the most tasty and tender, and are around 25 pounds field dressed.
They are excellent, deep fried, barbequed or roasted. The meat is very nutritious and healthy. It is totally organic. It is also approved for vegetarians, as it is seafood.
They also sell halal seal, which is very good for our Muslim or Jewish customers.
Big discounts on orders of over 1000 seals.

Can the general public hunt seals?
I would love to club a few hundred for the freezer this winter and also make some sealskin coats.
I am a major league Baseball player, so I am bulked up on steroids and very handy with a bat. I think I could take out 5-900 a day!
Anyone know how to get into this? |

Both taste like Chicken. Whale meat is really good. Both make fabulous sushi.
To try both of these items just go and find a bunch of Indians and they will give you some to try. |

It seems to me that those seals live in a very cold and inhospitable place. Surely it would be better to move them to the Carribean so they can enjoy nice warm weather.
It would also be much easier to save them if it was somewhere warm and not freezing like their current home. All the Arctic animals should be saved and relocated to the South. |

Theeze seals they is so cute. I eat 40 a day as I am now so fat and old. The seals should not belong to a club, they should all be owned by famous actress like me.
If all us celebrities each took over 50,000 seals we could all feed them and keep them as pets in our swimming pools in our big mansions. Then they would be safe.
Michael Moore woudl like a lot of seals too. |

Shame on you all for delighting in the clubbing of innocent, tasty seals.
I have one question. Before clubbing them to death, is there any law which prohibits sexual union with a seal? Or is it only legal after clubbing?
I imagine that dispatching a seal would be more humane if it were performed while the creature were enjoying the warm afterglow of intercourse. This may also improve the taste and texture of its flesh.
Have any members of this forum recently mated with a seal before braining it? |

I hope someone reads this and puts you in jail and never lets you out again.
The seals deserve our protection and thankfully there are great people like Paul MacCartney and that wife of his, that will save them, not try and have sex with them.
The seals show nothing but love and we should show them the same. |

I wonder if old peggy there, will donate all her money to saving the seals?
Somehow, I doubt it. Much more likely to be living it up and spouting off a few words and a quick photo-op here and there.
WIll you still need me,

Did seal hunt protest lead to McCartneys' divorce?
Oct 18 11:53 AM US/Eastern
Canada's fisheries minister and the head of an Atlantic island province are taking credit for helping to break up rocker Paul McCartney and his wife, whose vitriol over the seal hunt angered locals.
Fisheries Minister Loyola Hearn said tongue-in-cheek that he and Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams unmasked a sour side of Heather Mills McCartney during a fiery seal hunt debate on CNN's "Larry King Live" in March.
This likely changed the former Beatle's view of her, Hearn told reporters outside the House of Commons. "We'll take some credit for that," he quipped.
Hearn said Paul McCartney, an animal rights activist, seemed respectful of Newfoundland sealers' point of view, defended by Williams on the show, but his wife, an ardent anti-sealing activist, was "not so gracious."
Two months later, McCartney, now 64, split from the former model after four years together.
Initially they said their divorce was "amicable" but their relations have become increasingly acrimonious amid wrangling over McCartney's multi-million pound fortune.
The spectacular breakup was welcomed by many eastern Canadians who resented the couple's seal hunt protest on a Gulf of St. Lawrence ice floe in March.
The couple was invited by the US Humane Society to shine a spotlight on the annual cull of the marine mammals that have won the hearts of millions around the world since French film star Brigitte Bardot hugged a fluffy white doe-eyed pup for photographers in 1977.

Frikkin homewrecking seals. Just typical that they cause all this trouble out there on their inhospitable iceflows.
Macca should sue them, or better still, consume them.
