| - This is what I will include in volume two. Thoughts?
Religion is the “Opium” of the people. When used in its current manor, it most certainly produces a negative effect. People today are praying for the wrong reasons. That is, only when they feel misery and sorrow. There is no talk of faith outside these times. That said, the fact so many are religious now is actually disturbing. As Fascism is a doctrine of faith, it may seem I am a hypocrite. I assure you however that this is neither hypocrisy nor atheism, which both I despise, though one I sometimes am guilty off. What I am saying is religion without faith is indeed the opium of the people, their curse. All it does is place the blame of their problems on a God, whom in all reality cannot be proven real. It takes faith to believe in a God, and if the only time you pray is when you are miserable, than how can you say you are really faithful? A man of true faith prays as much as in plenty as he does in famine, that is what all the faiths on Earth will tell us. Socialism believed that if the troubles and tribulations of man were lessened, he would no longer be dependant on religion, praying through all these bad times. It would be a good theory if true religion was only the kind found in desolation, but as I have said, it can be found also in celebration. Socialism was never exposed the lighter side of faith, its true form. Aside from what ever spiritual gains one might have in the possibility that a religion is correct, religions breed a strong culture. This is evident in the Torah, Koran and New Testament, in which God warns the people that abandoning religion will make them vulnerable. This comes true multiple times, as the people forgo religions in favor of controversial and what could be called sinful activities. Afterward, society collapses, the people pray and then all is well again, and repeat. Now, one can’t really be sure if it was God protecting the people, but I believe the values in religion are what really did the work. People with a culture are notoriously difficult to defeat. So, a society with one will stand and fight. When culture abandoned, people become divided and leaderless, and above all lack a purpose in their lives. They would be easy to defeat, and that’s always what happens in ancient texts. Here is my own little story. In the future, a brilliant group of revolutionaries bring socialism unto the world, and for a time it was good. The people did not need religion because they were not miserable, and so they forgot it. But as they lost touch with their values and virtues that only religion taught, they began to be decadent, traitorous and brutish, destroying everything that was good until all society collapsed. The moral, respect and defend faith, if not for God than your society.

Fairy Tales are important, not because they teach us dragons are real, but because they teach us dragons can be defeated. |

religion is the one thing holding mankind together, without religion, why would anyone do anything but steal to make their own lives better? ( I am a communist and a catholic, yes, at the same time) |
