Occupational Franchise and Socialism

Do any socialists believe in the occupational franchise? It would involve voting, or any other political methods being carried out under the needs of your occupation, not geography. So, doctors would vote as doctors, fishermen as fishermen, and so on for all the issues that matter to each feild. It is actualy a Fascist idea but has its roots in syndicalism, so I think some of you may still like it.
