"intellectual Communist" Isn't that a contradiction in terms.
Almost as absurd as associating Reagan with intellectualism.
Star Wars was such a great idea. Satellite fires laser at another satellite. Second satellite has mirror and directs laser at missle rising from evil empire. How do engineers of EVIL EMPIRE defend against this? Chrome plate the missle. The laser beam bounced off the mirror of the satellite, why wouldn't it bounce off the missle? Even a politician should have been able to figure that out.
Oh yeah. Reagan wasn't a politician. He was an actor playing the role of a politician.
And Reaganomics:
It's 36 years after the moon landing. We have computers coming out of our ears. Economists with PHds from Harvard and the University of Chicago can't figure out planned obsolescence is going on in the automobile industry. How much do Americans loose on depreciation of automobiles every year. John Kenneth Galbraith in hs book THE AFFLUENT SOCIETY was talking about planned obsolescence of cars in 1959, long before Reagan even thought about running for president.

The only good thing about Reagan was that he could ACT like he was intelligent. George W. Bush can't do that.
