I first of all am not a communist, but I just want to learn a few things.

Communism obviously opposed any organized religion other than the religion of Communism. But did they care if you practiced on your own in your own house? I guess they don't like groups organizing and meeting such as political parties, but I see no reason to justify not allowing someone to practice what they believe in their own house. Oh wait, do you even have a house in Communism?

Marx was an atheist but I really don't see why Communist theory contradicts any particular religion. One might even suggest that the communist ideal conforms to Christian ideals. However in practice neither comes close to any worthwhile ideals. LOL

I'm an athiest but I've heard religious communists say that their religion advocates a communistic society. Communism just wants seperation of church and state, it has no problem with people's religious beliefs. The USSR was against religion, but it was a state capitalist nation, not a communist one.

So I'm getting this: Communism is not so much about disallowing individual religious ideology as it as about disallowing religious meeting. If you had strong faith on your own and just kept it to yourself no one would care. Right?

Anyone who would care is really a sick sob by the way. I mean if you were telling people "you can't have faith" you are really a sick sob.

A proper communistic society wouldn't care if people admitted they believed in god or went to a place of worship. A communist society would just ensure that certain religious groups wouldn't have any more power than people of other religions or those of none.

Couldn't agree more, while I don't believe there is a god I believe other people have a right to believe in and to worship a god.
