"Trail blazing “Morale from the Ministry” is the finest Vietnamese Propaganda Art book available today.

“Morale from the Ministry” celebrates the spirit that enabled North Vietnam to win the so–called David and Goliath war against the Americans. Throughout the war Hanoi was both the spiritual home and wellspring of Propaganda.

Dogma Publishing is honoured and proud to launch this large format art book in Hanoi on 16th March, at Mosaique Livingroom, 23 Ngo Van So. This contemporary venue underlines the modern appeal of vintage Propaganda Art.

Today many artists who contributed to the war effort still live in the capital. Researching this book lead to meeting many of them and Dogma Publishing welcomes the opportunity to meet more and gather further information on the subject – particularly the hundreds of unknown artists who gave their art to the Nation.

“Morale from the Ministry” features paintings from the Dogma Collection, a private collection of some 600 pieces of Vietnamese Propaganda art, quite possibly the largest in the world.

A full military fanfare accompanied the initial book launch at the Museum of Fine Art, Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives of the Ministry for Culture, members of the Veterans' Association and well known artists were among the large crowd.

Dogma Publishing wishes to encourage modern creative talent in Vietnam and is offering scholarships in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City over the next two years.

“Morale from the Ministry” has achieved high critical acclaim since being both published and printed in Vietnam three months ago. It is now available in retail stores in Vietnam, England, Thailand and globally via the website.

Dogma: Morale from the Ministry illustrates how perseverance and creed can achieve the near impossible. In Hanoi it is currently available from Mosaique Livingroom, 23 Ngo Van So; Mai Gallery, 183 Hang Bong, XQ's Boutique, 28 Au Trieu and Song, 27 Nha Tho.
