When I was 19 I too was a communist. On paper it is the best form of government however it will never work because it is dependant on the people in charge to be honest. And that will never happen. The endless corruption at the UN ia all the proof you need that it will never work.

Well Ravenwolf was a capitalist when he was younger so you could just as easily argue the other way. Remember that many communists kept their ideals till the day they died so there's nothing to this, 'you'll grow out of it when you're older,' attitude. And I'm curious to know, what changed your mind? And don't just say, 'I grew out of it,' was there any specific event or anything that made you change what you believed?'
But communism allows such provisions as recalling candidates at any time so if any of them are dishonest they can be removed immiedietly instead of waiting four years like we have to now. Communist politic is aware that many are dishonest and corrupt so it allows plenty of provisions to get them out of office. While capitalism on the other hand has no problem with corrupt, lying, and yes, evil people running the place. Capitalism only exists to protect the profits of the rich, it will not and cannot try and make a better life for the masses.
