While our dearest Parliament thinks over project of Latvian forces’ rotation in Afghanistan our lads are dying in that barbarian country. I don’t doubt that our deputies will leave Latvian boys fighting in that Afghan hell as long as NATO demand from them (mind you that there are much more victims among peacemakers in Afghanistan than in Iraq). Those venal toadies in Latvian Parliament are able sell their own mummy if NATO pay them pretty good sum.
This time they need Latvian cannon-fodder in Afghanistan. Tomorrow they’ll place some American military base on our territory. And the day after tomorrow we’ll gain such excellent aim for terrorists as US missile complex or some other nasty thing. And we’ll swallow any cheeky request of that kind. That’s all role of Latvia in NATO and EU. Those are mistaken who thinks that our voice has any decisive importance there. But who’ll care about our safety?
