Janice Shaw Crouse's article on Thursday, December 7 entitled "Mary Cheney's pregnancy affects us all" http://www.townhall.com/columnists/JaniceShawCrouse/2006/12/07/mary_cheneys_pregnancy_affects_us_all

should be read in conjunction with an article by Star Parker, president of the Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education, called "Mary Cheney's New World" on the need for a Federal Marriage Amendment.

The creators of our Bill of Rights did not even question whether marriage was between a man and a woman.

It is unnatural for children to grow up with gay parents. Yes homosexuals have certain rights, but what about the childrens' rights to grow in a healthy environment? As a young person myself, I am very thankful that I was not raised by two gay men.

There are married Americans who are so desperate to adopt children that they will adopt foreign orphans. If an American child is an orphan, there is no pressing need for two gays to adopt him.

In 2000 Richard Hatch, the homosexual winner of survivor lost custody of his adopted son after charges of physical abuse surfaced. He was acquitted of criminal charges, but the child was still removed.

Remember, when you allow gay parents to have children, the children are completely under their care. I do not feel comfortable with gay men "spanking" and punishing children. Do you?

Even if most gay parents did not abuse their children, 47% of molestation cases come from within the family: fathers, stepfathers, and uncles. Allowing gay marriage endangers many more children.

Ms Crouse is correct: Mary Cheney's pregnancy does affect our society. It shows a strong trend in our country that few would have imagined just 15 years ago. The fact that America's Vice President could have a homosexual daughter and the President congratulates them on her pregnancy in the New York Times- and on top of it they head the "conservative" party- shows where we will soon be if you and I don't take a strong stand against gay marriage.

It has to be you and me, because the politicians won't. According to Newsweek, when Bush formally supported a ban, he never cared enough to push very hard for it, and one of Bush's "old friends" said "I don't think he gives a s--t about it. He never talks about this stuff." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13121953/site/newsweek

Back in 2004 Republican leaders were behind a bill, but they knew it didn't have the Senate votes. So why did they introduce it? I think was just a ploy to get people's support. Otherwise, how could the politicians have ignored Foley harassing his aides? The same thing with Hillary's supposed opposition to gay marriage. It is just a game to get your support.

And 4 Republicans even voted against the banA. McCain was one of its opponents and claimed a national ban on gay marriage was "antithetical in every way to the core philosophy of Republicans" because it goes against states' rights.

That's right, a decent family is against the Republican politicians' core philosophy.

Did the corporate media tell you about McCain 's "Keating Five" financial scandal?

Family Values are the peel and greed is the rotten core.
