Are not used to people who say thank you or your welcome. Help people they have never met, Or enjoy life plain and simple without always being arrogant and uptight. It actually makes very good sense why they would think of us as simple and dumb. They are LOST!

I find it interesting that a society whose entire culture was based upon the sanctity of slavery could possibly believe such a thing of themselves. The Sourther rich, even more so in the antebellum south, were truly the aristocrats of the US. And you see, everything about aristocracy is based in arrogances, and being uptight.

Southerners really are.
Mack built a beautiful new plant in S.C in the mid 80's.
It didn't take long before the Southerners handy work showed up on the streets and construction sites of America. Many parts esp. wheels and even engines would fall off or break down even with limited usage. Many of the uneducated Mack workers would show up for work drunk or with bottle in hand! Someone suggested that 90% of the assembly line workers in the S.C plant were functionally illiterate.
Many of the Mack employees from the Lehigh Valley who moved down to S.C moved back home just to get away from that insanity the Southerners call the South.

You're right, it was very ignorant for them to think that, but we have to remember, they were an agricultural society, not industrial. Such things come naturally.
