"We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in him.God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them." 1 John 4:16 NLT To rely on God's love is to know that beyond a shadow of doubt that if all else fails God's love will be there. A lot of times we don't really rely on the love that God has for us because it is so hard to understand that He, perfect as He is, could love such an imperfect being. But to know that His love is always there is absolutely scriptural. "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 NLT . Absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God.
I think a lot of times we condemn ourselves and really we are saying, "wow I really messed up, I hope God still loves me." I heard a Pastor say in a prayer once, "condemnation, as if we've arrived, there is so much more of you." It really caught my attention so I wrote it down and looked at it later. Basically for us to condemn ourselves we are saying that we are perfect and we should never mess up, as if we have arrived. It is also saying that we have figured God because He is the only one who has not sinned and we think we are perfect like Him and have figured Him all out. We think know all of God but we really know so little because there is so much more of Him.
God went through great lengths in order for us to commune with Him, and to allow us to enter into the holy of holies, which is by the blood that was shed by His Son, Hebrews 10:19-22 and He would not take that love away causing the blood that His Son shed on the cross being to have been so in vain.
The devil has definitely worked over time in blinding our knowledge of who we are as the body of Christ, in the eyes of the Lord. The devil is very good at sneaking things in but we have rely on the love that God has promised us, and not listen to the voice of the Accuser who tells us that God doesn't love us and that we are not good enough and all that other junk. God loves us no matter what, and we need to realize that more and more every day, because that is what we must live in. Our soul longs to be loved, God made us that way so that we would be drawn to His love, and be in love with Him. When our lives are based on the unconditional love of the Lord, we are a foundation that can't be moved. God's love will never leave us; therefore if we establish our identity on His love, we will not be moved.
