Boris...ran across this somewhere on the web...is it true or just the American press blowing things out of proportion?

It is very possible. I haven't heard about the story, but
considering the panick and tension after the downpours, I wouldn't be
surprised if the meterologists goes to jail for scaring the hell out
of people. They used to fry meteorologists in England for incorrect
prognosis during Middle Ages, you know ....
