Hey My name is Christina. Im from the U.S. adn comming to Brazil for about a month. I will be in Rio from December 28th. I will be there for 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. Im comming with 3 friends. I am looking for an
aprtment that can sleep 4 people. I would like to find a place before I arrive there, but it seems the only way for me to get a good deal is when im in brazil, it is hard to find good prices from this
end. If anyone has an aprtment or property, that they want to rent for that time period please contact me. Thanks

Christina...

Hi Christina,

Christmas and New Year are expensive. You are absolutly correct about finding a better deal once you are down here. While, you can pay as high as $200 per day for an apartment near the beach, the same
apartment could be rented for about $120 per day if you are negotiating here. While most apartment owners and brokers would only rent for 10 days (or one week) package, you can negotiate shorter stay and better deal if you don't book in advance. Also , the prices
generally come down after the January 3rd 'cause most of the holiday makers go home and many apartments return to the rental pool.

There are quite a few people on this board who've celebrated Revelion and Carnival here, let's here some stories and creative ideas as to how lower the cost of lodging.

Thank you,

Boris
