Geeetings everyone,
I hope this is not too far off-topic, though it may not be as off as it seems at first glance.
I live in the US and would like to invest in market based mutual funds holdng Brazilian stocks. I'm just beginning my research and having trouble finding sources.
I can find Latin American or so-called Emerging Market funds. But I would like something more specific, without investing in individual companies (I am beginning to understand that there are roadblocks to foreigners holding stocks directly in Brazilian firms anyway.)
More specifically, I would like to find, if they exist, market sector funds in Brazilian steel, agri-business and raw materials producers such as mining.
I guess I'd like to know if anyone is aware of US companies offering such a thing, or who the leading Brazilian fund companies might be.
If they do really well, then there is my nest egg to buy my little apartment in Rio, so you see, not so far off-topic
Thanks everyone and sorry for taking your time if this is too far off topic.
Regards,
Mike Kenny
