Writing history of secret WWII radar school in Naperville, Illinois
by
From 1942-1947 the U.S. Army secretly operated a radar school near Naperville, Illinois to acquaint prospective radar officers with current equipment. Nothing remains of the camp today (Camp McDowell), but I have located two elderly gentlemen (alumni of the school) whom I will interview on 3/31/01. If you have any radar questions for these gentlemen, one of whom was an Army Radar instuctor, please contact me and I will forward your questions to these old veterans of World War II.
